Looking to buy an established business?

We advise owners of profitable Singapore businesses who want to sell quietly, and most of those businesses are never listed publicly. Tell us what you are looking for. When a business we are selling fits, you get an anonymised summary first and the full details under NDA.

About you

So we know who we are introducing to an owner.

What kind of buyer are you?

How buying through Clearmere works

Private businesses, introduced properly.

Businesses that are not on the market

Owners who come to us usually want to sell without staff, customers or competitors finding out. Their businesses go to registered buyers whose criteria fit, not to a public listing.

Information you can rely on

Before we introduce a business, we have read its accounts and normalised its earnings, so the summary you receive reflects what a buyer would actually be paying for.

One NDA, then full access

Sign our buyer NDA once. After that, every business you choose to pursue comes with the full information pack and a meeting with the owner.

Funded, serious buyers first

We ask about funding and timing so owners spend their time with buyers who can complete. It also means you hear first about the businesses that fit you best.

Questions buyers ask

Buying a business in Singapore.

How do I buy a business in Singapore?

Start with your criteria: the sectors you understand, the size you can fund and how involved you want to be. Line up your funding before you look, because owners take funded buyers more seriously. Most good owner-operated businesses are sold privately through advisers rather than listed publicly, so register with the advisers who act for sellers in your sectors. When a business fits, you sign an NDA, review the information pack, meet the owner, make an indicative offer, complete due diligence and sign a sale and purchase agreement. From first meeting to completion usually takes three to nine months.

Does it cost anything to register as a buyer?

No. Registering costs nothing and commits you to nothing. If you would like us to search for and negotiate an acquisition on your behalf, that is a separate buy-side engagement we can talk through.

Why do you ask about proof of funds and timing?

Owners share the details of their business only with buyers who can complete. Knowing how you would fund a purchase and when you want to buy lets us introduce you to the opportunities that fit first, and saves you time on the ones that do not.

What happens after I register?

You get an email with a copy of your criteria straight away. When a business we are selling matches, we send you an anonymised summary. If you want to go further, you sign our NDA and receive the full information pack, and we arrange a meeting with the owner.

Can a foreigner buy a business in Singapore?

Yes. Foreigners can own 100% of a Singapore private company in most sectors. The company needs at least one director who is ordinarily resident in Singapore, some regulated sectors such as healthcare have rules on who can hold the licence, and if you plan to move here to run the business you would normally need a work pass such as an Employment Pass. A Singapore lawyer can confirm what applies to you.
