Close to twelve years helping owners of Singapore businesses sell, and before that, building and selling businesses of his own. Clearmere is the adviser he would want if he were selling.

Ben started his career in property, winning top achiever awards at ERA and PropNex. It taught him how leases and landlords quietly decide what an operating business is worth.
He brought the Escape Hunt franchise to Singapore, took it to number one on TripAdvisor, and sold it. His first experience of selling a business he had built.
He co-founded Edugrow, an M&A advisory for education and childcare businesses, which he still leads.
He co-founded an online education and coaching business and scaled it to eight figures in US dollar revenue. Running a business at that pace taught him what buyers mean by systems, people and recurring revenue.
He founded Clearmere to bring the same quiet, owner-first approach to healthcare, wellness, care and other owner-operated businesses that do not fit an education adviser.
Ben studied Computer Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, and still builds many of the tools behind Clearmere’s process himself, from the valuation calculator to the way buyers are researched and matched.
Having built and run businesses himself, Ben looks at the things that decide a price: whether the business runs without you, whether the lease and licences will transfer, and whether the profit will hold.
He has sold a business he built. He knows the worry about staff finding out, the fear of being lowballed, and how long a deal can feel while it is happening.
Ben takes on a small number of mandates at a time and runs each one personally, from the first conversation to completion. You are never handed to a junior.
If your number and the market’s number are different, he will say so, and show you why. Sometimes the honest advice is to prepare first and sell later.
Selling the business you built is one of the biggest decisions you will make, and you usually only make it once. My job is to make sure you make it with a clear number, on your timing, and without anyone finding out before you are ready.
Tell Ben about the business and what you want from it. If a sale makes sense, he will tell you how he would run it. If it does not yet, he will tell you what to work on first.
