Drop in last year’s profit. The water shows the range buyers pay in your sector, and how much of it usually arrives as cash on completion. Your figures stay in your browser.
Most owners we meet have spent years building something real. When they start to think about selling, the same three worries surface. Will my staff and clients find out before I am ready. Will I leave money on the table. Will the deal actually close, or just drag on and fall apart. Clearmere exists to take all three off your plate.
We run a quiet, competitive process and take you through to completion at a fair price.
We find, value and negotiate the right business for buyers and operators looking to expand.
Register as a buyer →We help you raise growth capital or sell a stake, without giving up control of what you built.
We are not tied to one sector. What our clients share is a shape, not an industry: an established business that a buyer can take over and run.
A manager or senior team in place, so customers, staff and suppliers deal with the business, not only with you.
Profitable, with recurring or repeat revenue and accounts that stand up to due diligence.
A track record of several years, with the licences, lease and key contracts able to pass to a new owner.
Many owners come to us one to three years early, and they are the ones who sell best. We come on board as your adviser long before the business is offered to anyone, show you how a buyer would read it today, and take you through the changes that make it ready to sell.
Build the team and the systems so the business runs, and keeps its customers, without you in the room.
Clean, consistent accounts and recurring revenue, so the number holds up in due diligence.
Lease tenure, licences and key contracts put in a shape a buyer can take over.
Ownership, entities and terms arranged ahead of time, so the deal you want is possible when you want it.
Owner-operated businesses, roughly S$1m to S$20m in revenue.
Typically changing hands between S$1m and S$15m. Too big for a business broker. Too small for an investment bank. And too personal for either to handle with the care it deserves.
We run a very discreet sale process, and nothing moves without your say-so.
We have built and sold businesses ourselves, so we read licence, lease and key-person risk first-hand.
You work directly with Ben from start to finish. No being handed to a junior once the ink is dry.
Our job is a deal that closes, not a business that lingers on the market for a year.
Led by the advisory team behind more than 70 owner-operated transactions across Singapore, now bringing the same playbook to established businesses across sectors.
We learn about you and your business, under NDA, at no cost.
For a fixed fee, credited if you sell with us, we tell you honestly what your business is worth and what would lift it.
How the valuation works →Every buyer is NDA-gated and approved by you before anything identifying is shared.
We negotiate and manage the deal through to a clean close.

Ben has spent close to twelve years advising owners of Singapore businesses, and leads the advisory team behind more than 70 owner-operated transactions. He takes on a small number of mandates at a time, personally, because the businesses he sells matter too much to their owners to hand off.
Clearmere is a confidential M&A advisory for owners of established Singapore businesses. We advise on selling a business, acquiring one, and bringing in a partner or growth capital. The work is confidential, so nothing that identifies your business is shared unless you decide it should.
Owner-operated businesses with roughly S$1m to S$20m in revenue, typically changing hands between S$1m and S$15m. That is the lower-mid market: too big for a general business broker, too small for an investment bank, and too personal for either to handle with the care it deserves.
We are not tied to one sector. What matters more is how the business is built: established and profitable, with a manager or team running the day to day, customers who come back, and licences, leases and contracts that can pass to a new owner. If your business still depends heavily on you, we can help you change that before you sell.
Yes, and this is often the best time to start. We come on board as your adviser one to three years before a sale, show you how a buyer would read the business today, and work through a plan with you: a team that runs the day to day without you, revenue on contract or on repeat, accounts that stand up to due diligence, and a lease and licences that will transfer. When you decide to sell, the groundwork is done and the business is worth more.
Nothing carries your name. Early materials use a reference code instead of your business name and address, so nothing identifying circulates while interest is being gauged. Buyers see who you are only after signing an NDA that you have approved by name, and you decide when your staff and customers are told. Most owners tell their team after the deal is signed.
Our sale fee is success-based and paid on completion: no sale, no fee. A written valuation is a separate fixed fee, agreed and paid before we start, and credited in full against our success fee if you sign with us within 6 months and the sale completes. The first conversation, a short questionnaire and our written recommendation on which valuation fits are free and carry no obligation.
On normalised earnings rather than revenue, meaning the accounts adjusted for owner-specific costs so a buyer sees the true earning power of the business. From there the number moves on how much value sits with the owner personally, the durability of the customer base, remaining lease tenure, licensing standing and whether the business runs without you. We give you the number in writing, under NDA, and tell you honestly what would lift it. For a quick indicative range first, our online valuation calculator uses the same conservative approach.
